Job Responsibility
- To prepare purchase specifications for the purpose of sourcing of wire & cable, connectivity products in Asia Pacific region for the company.
- To ensure products manufactured by the OEM suppliers would meet the required standards set by the company, and consistent branding under the company’s name.
- To work closely with PLM and provide technical support for sales activities in the region including:
a. Evaluate the current product offerings and providing guidance to the sales teams as to what item(s) is best suited to the application or project bidding.
b. Design, develop and launch the new product from OEM supplier upon business requirements.
c. Prepare suitable product specification and supply of technical documents (tech datasheet, compliance sheet, and quality plan) to meet the customers’ requirements.
- To provide additional support for the Sourcing/QA teams including sample assessment, goods inspection and plant audit as required occasionally.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor and above degree in Engineering.
- Min. 5 years’ experience in product design or technical work, preferably in a wire & cable or connectivity manufacturing environment, writing and preparing manufacturing and product related specifications or providing technical support to sales.
- Analytical and be able to demonstrate an understanding of cable /connectivity product constructions and specifications is necessary
- An ability to identify, find and undertake research into unknown or unfamiliar technical and regulatory standards. Must have good skills in using MS Word and MS Excel.
- An ability to read, write and speak fluent English. Must have CET4 or higher qualification in English.
