JOB SUMMARY
Ensure timely, accurate, correct costing accounting and preparation of costing analysis report and measurements, make recommendations for profit improvements. Continuously work to improve accounting and reporting processes and cost savings initiatives. Supervise team of cost analysts and assist Financial Controller on special projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Work with all related departments (Lean, Production, Supplier chain, Engineering, HR/Admin, Development, etc.) to obtain relevant and accurate data to develop metrics to support the management.
2. Be responsible for all cost reduction activities in the company. Provide sufficient financial data to managers, lead them to find cost reduction opportunities.
3. Follow up with the status of all cost reduction and IC’s, valuate and summarize all the cost reduction efforts of each manager.
4. Review Daily Cycle Count Report submitted by inventory accountant, go to production and warehouse to drill down the reasons in detail.
5. Monitor month end close, submit Finance Review Report, arrange monthly finance review meeting with Management.
6. Responsible for all costing feasibility justifications (e.g. payback, breakeven, made in house or outsource etc.), provided sufficient data for management to make decision.
7. Collect related information from government, bank, submit the profitability alert to management
8. Competitor analysis, worked with Development to find out the root cause of uncompetitive product.
9. Implement of budget management, responsible for yearly budget, provide a budget versus actual variance analysis to all departments.
10. Check financial SOPs in actual working; optimize them to ensure the accuracy and safety.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
Supervise the cost accountants. Work cross-functionally to address issues of internal controls, compliance with SOPs and work across departments on measurements and analysis.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. Education
? Required – Bachelor’s Degree or above, major in Finance and Accounting.
? Speak and write English
2. Experience
? 5 years’ experience in a sizeable manufacturing/retail operations, more than USD100M sales revenue operations
? China CPA and Taxation certification preferred
3. Knowledge of
? Computerized accounting software, plus knowledge of ERP
? Standard cost accounting, strong costing background
? Budgetary control and common key performance measurements
? China and international accounting standards and practices, China taxation
? Management methodologies, best practices, principles of internal controls and financial policies and procedures
4. Skills and Abilities
? Honesty, integrity, reliable and dependable, hard-working, perseverance, detailed and thorough
? Numerate, analytical, logical and follow-through skills
? Ability to communicate with all organizational levels
? Strong people skills, able to enforce policies and procedures but manage conflicts & confrontation
? Skilled in prioritizing multiple directives within changing work demands, multi-tasking
? Skilled in problem solving
? Skilled in Excel and common office software applications
