Major Responsibilities
Responsible for planning, organizing, executing and coordinating new program design and development from concept through production, and maintains close liaisons with HQ design team
Plan and implement all aspects of the product development process such as; developing the purpose of the product, product features, product design, design criteria, development costs, testing, product business plans, project scheduling, tooling, equipment and resource requirements
Establish standards for design, materials, performance and the reliability for engineering. Verify these standards through testing procedures and prototype development
Develop continuous improvement plans to accomplish key product development deliverables and document lessons learned
Assures the technical performance, manufacturing and profitability of respective products and programs
Initiates engineering studies, evaluating current production products and processes; benchmarking competitor’s products and processes
Facilitating part design reviews and mold design reviews
Manage engineering changes and processes
Supports the technical development of designers and project engineers
Supports Program Management, meeting program timing and gross margin requirements
Supports completion and delivery of PPAP packages to the customer
Motivate, mentor and coach department personnel to ensure optimal performance
Lead design and engineering activities, ensuring successful launch of programs
Collaborate and coordinate activities with Quality and Operations, as they pertain to Engineering

Qualifications and Experiences
Bachelors Degree in Mechanics or Electronics, or related fields
Prior 5 years design and development experience in automotive industry, automotive electronics and lightings preferred
Prior leadership/supervisory experience 2 years
Working knowledge of Solidworks or UG
Working knowledge of plastics, electrical and lighting
Familiar with TS16949, APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC, FMEA and relative quality tools, has strong problem solving skills;
Good Chinese and English speaking;
