1. Job Summary:

1) Responsible to design and controlling of die prints documentation
2) Project management and ensure projects meet the required time-line
3) Ensure the Diesets performance meeting the set requirements
4) Work with Production on manufacturing process improvement, and meeting the quality indicators as mentioned in specific duties and responsibilities.

2. Duties and Responsibilities:

1) Independently to design a complete die-set based on the piece part drawing.
2) Prepare all the documentation related to full assembly drawing with detail labeling, parts list and hardware list.
3) Project Management ability on tooling project.
4) Provide technical advises to Vendors, internal related personnel in term of fabrication, die-set assembly procedure and the trouble shooting.
5) Experience on AutoCAD or other Designing Software.
6) Perform DFMEA for each project before the Designing Job starts.
7) Drive continues die improvement in term of cost effectiveness/competitiveness of stamping operation. Always look for area of opportunity to cut/reduce production cost/ tooling cost.

3. Job Specifications

1) Minimum 5 years of working experiences in German/Japanese working environment.
2) Experience in Die-set assembly & Die-set trouble shooting in designs of Precision Metal Forming/Bending/Cup drawn processes with hand on in Die-set assembly & trouble shooting.
3) Minimum Diploma Holder from Local / Oversea in Tooling Industry with 5 years of die designing experiences.
4) OR 4 years of Apprenticeship in Tool & Die Making with hand on experiences in machining processes and with 5 years of die designing for those without the relevant qualification.
5) Skilled in the design of Progressive, Compound and Single-action Stamped Die-set. Knowledgeable about the Stamping processes. Experiences in Automation & Molding design/processes will be an added advantages.
