职位描述
This role will be responsible for assisting the design team to design special request industrial cables for the APAC team. This person will also be responsible for working closely with both the design and PD team to quickly turn around quotations for special requests. Contribution of this person will help to reduce the current turnaround time of special quotes from more than 2 weeks to less than 5 working days.
Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for deciding which are the quotation we should be working on priority for the INCA team.
2. Take lead in designing and developing the quotes for INCA team.
3. Reduce the current quotation turnaround time from more than 2 weeks to less than 5 working days.
4. Responsible for keeping track of all the quotes coming in for INCA cables and creating a data base of all the cables we are quoting.
5. To run Factory Experiment (FE’s) with the aim of developing new products and processes that can contribute to the sales and profit of the organization.
6. To raise the documentation and obtain approval for factory experiments including estimation of costs and turnaround time.
7. To achieve targeted cost savings thru either material, design of manufacturing improvements.
8. To provide support for the quotation process.
9. To provide support for converting quotes to factory orders such as generating SK cards, determining pack sizes, generating label information, etc.
Requirements:
1. Must have an engineering degree, preferably in the cable, mechanical or electrical field.
2. Must have English capability to at least CT-6. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
3. Must be familiar with the Microsoft office suite of products including WORD and EXCEL.
4. Min. 2-3 years experience.
5. Familiarity with national and international cable standards such as GB, IEC, ISO, ANSI and UL would be an advantage.
