Job Title Engineering Manager

1. ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIP
YOUR SUPERVISOR Plant Manager
YOUR SUBORDINATES Design Engineer,CAD Engineer

2. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITY
Assume overall accountability for the production costs and efficiency of assigned Value Stream.
Maintain quality through all processes; reacts to quality issues and responds with corrective actions.
Utilizes lean concepts to drive process improvements, data analysis and regular project management.
Prepares an annual operating budget and insures that assigned Value Stream operates within established cost controls.
Accountable for establishing and executing productivity projects to meet Value Stream and plant targets.
Responsible for engineering and product teams to insure manufacturability of new product(s), machine specifications, plant capital requirements, project timelines, and production launch.
Continually reviewing and evaluating existing operating policies, procedures, systems, schedules, equipment, etc., and overseeing the implementation of modifications and improvements.
Manage a group of Product Development Engineers
Compose and oversee the authoring of technical quality specification documents based on the liaison with APOD Business Unit marketing, R&D, Technical functions and negotiation with manufacturing suppliers
Ensure the suppliers' manufacturing process is capable of meeting Schneider Electric quality requirements and where appropriate working with the supplier to effect improvement
Generate quality specifications for existing "legacy products" by cooperating with responsible suppliers and relevant internal entities
Make technical assessments of new product evaluation samples and of supporting testing and certification documentation

3. QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
8+ years experiences on new product development experience
Bachelor degree in engineering discipline
Excellent English communication skill
