职位描述：
The project engineer will typically handle smaller projects or groups of projects. They will provide assistance to the project leaders who will typically handle larger portfolios and more demanding projects. Often the role of the project engineer will be to span technical activities and project organisational tasks. The project engineer will therefore become more involved in design/development/engineering detail than the project leader.

These projects must be delivered on-time, to specification, to budget and to agreed quality standards. This will involve interpreting customer requirements, developing project plans (when required) and interfacing cross-functional Project Teams to achieve the milestones of the plan.


Key Responsibilities:

Project Management and Project Delivery
? Manage assigned project tasks and smaller projects as agreed with the Project Manager Retrofit
? Establish key technical skills and product knowledge to facilitate project delivery
? Provide support for Project Leaders by handling a range of administrative and organisational duties
? Ensure that project objectives and requirements are well defined, understood and adequately communicated
? Ensure project task risks are identified and managed affectively
? Plan, agree and organise resources as required
? Identify and resolve issues to achieve project milestones
? Schedule project meetings as agreed with the Project Manager to ensure delivery of the plan.
TS16949 Quality Standard
? Ensuring the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) documentation is maintained in line with company procedures and Project Leaders expectations
? Ensure that specifications agreed at Project kick off are achieved
? Ensure that bought in components are accurately specified and received
? Co-ordinate the internal and external reservation of machine time and human resources

Management Responsibilities
? Responsible for leading and motivating allocated project team members
? To liaise with the customer as appropriate to ensure objectives are clear and they are kept informed of progress
? Maintain plans and update the project manager on progress on a regular basis

Decision Making
? To agree technical specifications and time schedules together with line manager
? Ensure projects meet the customer requirements in terms of technical specification, cost, quality and delivery

Person Specification:

Education and Qualifications:
? Technical qualification in engineering (ONC/HNC/B.Eng)
? Good understanding of project and resource management principles

Previous Experience:
? Experience of working in cross-functional teams
? Liaison with customers and suppliers
? Experience in an automotive environment
? Understanding of exhaust after treatment devices, (desirable)
? Experience of working with integrated IT packages

? Able to achieve results quickly and work with minimal supervision
? Good problem solving skills
? Responsive nature, persistent, flexible and open minded
? Good communicator - verbal and written
