Ongoing Duties:



· Performs the sourcing process of production inventory (such as raw materials and components for the production area), production supplies, and certain outside services.

· Researches, defines, and develops potential suppliers that meet Swoboda's quality standard, and that provide the best commercial conditions.

· Creates and distributes inquiries to potential suppliers.

· Verifies supplier quotes with regards to price and other conditions.

· Verifies supplier quotes with regards to the technical aspect in cooperation with the cross-functional team.

· Defines price targets and market prices.

· Assists in quoting with regard to purchased parts.

· Negotiates prices, conditions, delivery dates and confidentiality agreements.

· Prepares the supplier selection process.

· Participates in the supplier selection process in cooperation with the cross-functional team.

· Places orders, verifies acknowledgment of orders and issues supplier agreements.

· Controls delivery dates, prices, and conditions.

· Establishes and improves customer/supplier relationship.

· Calculates material requirements.

· Ensures lot traceability throughout the whole process: from supplier to production to customer.

· Works effectively with coworkers and management.

· Works cooperatively with all employees.

· Provides purchasing report to management team.



2. General duties:



· Works in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations.

· Follows company safety rules.

· Follows company compliance rules personally and is responsible for the observance in the purchasing department.

· Uses or wears the equipment, protective devices, or clothing that is required in designated areas (safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, radiometer).

· Ensures that all employees adhere to the Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations or company policy.

· Maintains a clean and safe work area.

Experience

Minimum 5 years in comparable position in a FOE

English business writing a. speaking, CET 4 min, CET6 preferred
