Key Job Accountabilities:

Help create and ensure the prompt availability of quality products for businesses that are safe and effective, suitable for mass production, in line with the domain/brand innovation strategy.

• Assume responsibility for allocated projects delivery in full and in time

• Check consumer insight, competition environment, technical state of art and bibliographic research

• Project planning, experimental planning for given projects, made time control, risk assessment and mitigation actions

• Analyze the results, ensure interpretation and make proposals and technical solutions to solve the technical challenge of projects

• Perform the lab trials and follow scaling up, industrialization studies and all the tests (stability, safety/efficacy, and consumer), write technical & project status recap and ensure systematic reporting and/or presentation

• Connect with related lab for technology sharing and collaboration, build a network of technical partnership, capable of interfacing with external stakeholders

• Contribute to safeguarding L’Oréal intellectual property (registering and protecting patents, etc.)

• Ensure and respect all company and R&I guidelines, ex. EHS rules and good laboratory practice. (ex. housekeeping)

• Lead and coordinate transversal missions

Key Qualifications:

• PhD, chemistry related background, lab work/formulation experience, understanding of research activities and relevant scientific and technical application.

• Logical and sharp communication, fluent in English and Chinese

• Creativity, proposes creative ideas or scientific concepts

• Sense and knowledge about makeup products, makeup trend, market awareness

• Responsiveness and good project management skill

• Good summarizing/abstracting and presentation skill   

• Working under pressure, hard working

• Team spirit minded
