Position Summary:

Based in Shanghai, this position is responsible for supporting the financial and operational internal controls in China which supports Royal Caribbean’s business and office operation in Greater China (Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Hong Kong).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for the general accounting and tax area incl. Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable/General Ledger/Tax and related controls;
2. Processing and control of account payable transactions for overseas company, HK office (e.g. verifying all invoices for payments, ensure expenditures are charged to appropriate accounts timely and accurately);
3. Lead the Accounts Payable Team to perform daily AP work and duties in a timely and accurate manner; Reconcile inter-company billings on monthly basis;
4. Work closely with the Team to set up bank payment instructions and co-ordinate monthly payment schedules (including domestic and overseas payment); Review payments/refund in bank, Alipay, Wechat, CUP system, etc.; Prepare the cash forecast report;
5. Identify opportunities for continuous process improvement/innovate solutions/system enhancements related to the AP function;
6. Responsible for credit and accounts receivable, refund and accounting adjustments as appropriate;
7. Responsible for balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with established guidelines;
8. Assist in month-end closing activities and liaise with other teams as required;
9. Maintain good communication and good working relationship with the team, other Departments and Headquarters to ensure smooth operations;
10. Assist in optimizing accounting related internal process and procedures; Implement internal guidelines and controlling procedure, adhering to Corporate Instructions and Policies;
11. From time to time, review and propose new work flow and procedures as deemed appropriate for continuous improvement on work quality and work efficiency;
12. Assists & Participate in Internal/External Audits, Tax Audits and any statutory enquiries;
13. Train and foster the growth and development of fellow team members by providing guidance on work flow, work procedures and work processes;
14. Independently finishing the other tasks assigned by line manager and raising development recommendation to make process more efficient.
Qualifications:

? Bachelor degree with major in accounting or finance;
? Minimum of 8 years of work experience in general accounting and tax area;
? Professional qualification is an advantage (incl. ACCA, CIMA, CICPA, CGA, etc.).

Knowledge and Skills:

? Must be proficient in English and Mandarin, written and oral;
? Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP systems are essential. Knowledge of JDE preferred;
? Strong work ethics, good communication and organization skill, and the ability to work independently in a team framework;
? Strong technical knowledge of Chinese accounting/tax laws and regulations, familiar with IFRS and US GAAP;
? Excellent influencing and problem solving skills, strong business sense, Can-Do attitude and behavior, able to deliver good performance under pressure and tight deadline.
