Volvo Construction Equipment Purchasing Team is inviting qualified candidates to apply for a position as:

SD Engineer (1 person)

The main responsibilities are to evaluate the existing/potential supplier and to secure parts/components quality by using APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) for new parts for new projects and Volvo assembly operation with the priority of quality product, fast & on-time delivery and lowest total cost.

Functional Title: SD Engineer
Report to: Hydraulics SD Manager
Location: Linyi or JTC, China

Job Summary:
Supplier evaluation, improvement and parts development at suppliers.
Supplier management for Q D performance.

Key/Primary Responsibilities:
？ Secure high level suppliers and support supplier selection through SEM.
？ Help to launch stable, new models through APQP
？ Manage corrective and preventative actions at supplier regarding quality & delivery issues.
？ Improve supplier quality level & delivery performance through SDP (Supplier Development Process), Process Audit, Capacity Management Audit, Six Sigma, QI project, etc.
？ Reduce the part cost through VPS(Volvo Production system), VA/VE, Lean, etc.
？ Lead sourcing projects through VSP(Volvo Sourcing Process).
？ Lead management system improvement projects at supplier.
？ Manage supplier relationship
？ Performing other Supplier Development Business Plan actions.
？ Handle other work assigned by SD Manager



Candidate Profile

Professional Experience
？ Minimum 3 years’ experience in Purchasing or Quality or R&D or Manufacturing engineering dept in related field. (Work experience in the automotive, Construction Equipment or similar industries is preferred)

Personal Qualifications
？ Knowledge
- Technical knowledge about related commodity
- APQP & PPAP knowledge is preferred
？ Skills
- Good computer skills (MS WD/EXCEL/POWERPOINT)
- Strong communication Skills
- Initiative, Drive for Results, Sense of Urgency, Flexibility, Innovation and Creativity
- Problem analysis, decision making & execution are preferred
- Project management skill
- Audit skills are preferred
