MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and develop new products working with customers on new and existing concepts, including internal / external engine component design on complex CAD packages.
• Create both prototype and production models and drawings to WABCO requirements using Pro- Engineer within the WABCO PLM system and documentation processes
• Work with development / test engineers to test, validate new and current products, able to make technical decisions
• To work directly with customers and suppliers, be able to present both technical and project information accurately and with confidence
• Liaise with Internal departments, Value streams, sourcing etc,
• Good organization skills essential (project management), able to implement and coordinate action plans etc
• High quality, low cost designs and the ability to bring new ideas.
• Some test experience would be a distinct advantage.

EXPERIENCE:

• Min 8 years in design & development in similar products
• Customer / supplier liaison
• Degree qualified and automotive and project management experience preferred, especially product integration in under bonnet environments.
• Experience in fluid / Air pumps preferred
• Pro – E skills essential
• FEA skills preferred but not essential
