Volvo Construction Equipment (VCE) Company is the wholly owned subsidiary of Volvo Group, one of the World Top 500 companies. As the third biggest construction equipment manufacturer in the world, headquarter of Volvo CE is located in Brussels, Belgium. VCE specializes in developing, manufacturing and marketing mechanical equipment related with construction, with a product range including backhoe loaders, wheel loaders, excavators, articulated haulers, motor graders and compact equipment. In 2010, to better meet the needs of emerging market customers, Volvo Construction Equipment invested nearly 300 million SEK in the Tech Center in Jinan.

Volvo Construction Equipment Jinan Tech Center will focus on R&D of construction equipment and components for emerging markets. One of the priorities for the tech center is to build a strong R&D team comprising both local and foreign talent to bring new products to market. Now we are looking for talent for the below position for our Technology Centre.

Position Title: Electrics & Electronics Engineer（电子电气工程师）

Location: Jinan(济南)

Job Summary ( Purpose of Job ) :

Develop complete electric and electronic systems and secure QDCF in all product development phases for the electric & electronic system. This includes, among other things, to select concepts, develop new electric & electronic system and components together with sub suppliers and also secure performance and installation into our products. A part of the work is also to support purchasing with technical knowledge in sourcing projects.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. The major responsibilities will be included but not limited to the items as below,

·Develop technical specification of electrical & electronic components and systems

·Drawings and 3D model for schematic, harnesses, HW components and installation in machine

·Provide technical support to other teams for product improvement and new product development

·System development of electric & electronic systems to meet customer requirements including reliability & durability and cost target.

·Evaluation of different design solutions

·Management of product quality and reliability improvement projects

·Support our testing activities in the evaluation of design solutions

Education/Professional Qualifications required for the position:

·BS/MS in engineering or equivalent

·Experience in product development, preferably with construction machine E&E systems

·Broad interest in technology, especially within the area of heavy vehicles

·Experience dealing with design and development problems and strong intuitive and analytic ability to resolve problem

·Open positive attitude, target oriented, flexible and enjoy working both independently and in groups in an outgoing and communicative way

·Strong initiative, communication, interpersonal, teamwork skills.

·Good English skill in both written and oral.

volvo construction equipment technology (china) is located in high-tech zone of jinan, shandong. volvo construction equipment jinan tech center will focus on r&d of construction equipment and components for emerging markets. it will be the first volvo construction equipment tech center in china, and the first tech center in jinan established by a world top 500 enterprise. volvo construction equipment tech center in jinan will undoubtedly play an important role in volvo construction equipment’s global r&d network, pushing volvo construction equipment’s strategic development and upgrading in china.
