POSITION OVERVIEW
Become a key person in the region for all Quality improvement projects and champion the 8 D implementation efforts in the region which would involve active participation, ownership and coaching. This position is expected to travel 30-40% of his/her time including extended stays during the implementation stages and training of people.
PRIMARY DUTIES
1. This role would drive/facilitate 8D investigations and corrective actions to continuously improve the control and effectiveness of manufacturing processes and Quality systems in the region i.e. would Champion the implementation of 8 D Methodolgy. -25%
2. He/ She would be playing a lead QA role in Quality improvement projects, leading FMEA sessions, developing effective CTQ parameters, control plans and SOPS for the region.25%
3. He/ She would play a major role in coaching people in our current AP facilities to ensure that we do an effective root cause analysis and corrective actions implementations.-20%
4. He/ She would perform regular audits to ensure high levels of compliance to known procedures and good practices. – 20%
5. He/ She would ensure that the plants in region implement systems and processes defined and would partner with the AP QMS lead to gauge effectiveness.-10%

Minimum Requirements
-You will ideally be degree qualified(engineering), or equivalent in Science, with proven experience in Quality Management systems and implementation of 8 D techniques, in a technical quality engineering role, preferably as an SME with Six Sigma Green Belt Certification. You will be customer focused with personal integrity and a high degree of discipline and structure. You will possess clear and structured communication abilities to drive quality control and improvement processes throughout the manufacturing organization.
-Working knowledge in development and implementation of Quality systems (ISO 9001, Lean Manufacturing principles, 8 D, FMEA and RCI).
- Familiarity with Operations and Laboratory procedures and practices in manufacturing industry.
- Auditing/Quality certification and relevant management experience.
- Work experience in manufacturing environment a plus.
- Should be able to work with teams and should have a flair of coaching and training.
Skills
-Broad knowledge of sound management principles.
- Ability to define problems, collect data and draw valid conclusions through 8 D, FMEA and RCI techniques.
- Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions furnished in written, oral, mathematical, diagram or schedule form to carry out effective root cause investigations.
- Ability to use computer and familiar with software programs such as: Microsoft Office, Project and other related programs.
