A) Purchasing management
? Negotiate contracts for raw material/packaging materials/engineering as well.
? Monitor market trend. Present marketing and cost analysis studies for future purchase and routinely audit purchasing operations to ensure maximum efficiency.
? Interview industry sources to remain continually updated on new products and services, and to identify prospective vendors whose operation should comply with the legal EHS regulations.
? Select qualified vendors and evaluate their performance. Make sure of the purchasing materials to be in line with the legal requirements.
? Ensure that internal quality requirements and BASF and local SHE regulations are observed within the company; report any areas of concern to DPM or Division Manager.
? Provide necessary coaching and training to other purchasing colleagues.
B) Routine purchasing activities
? Double check purchase requisitions and investigates availability and source of supply for requested items and evaluate requisitions for proper authorization and to pinpoint errors and items requiring further attention.
? To generate the purchase order allocation
? Procure material, supplies and services cost-effectively and keep the delivery to meet the demands of sales and production planning.
? Maintain SAP for purchasing process.
C) Reporting/documentation
? Review purchase orders and invoices to identify errors and unusual changes in volume or price that might warrant management intervention or additional negotiation.
? Secure necessary technical and safety information (such as MSDS) on procured material, seeking expertise from the department initiating the purchase requisition.
? Regularly report purchasing status upon demand.
? Prepare and modify the Quality Management documents.
