Key Job Accountabilities
- Development of the category buying strategy and vision for retail stores across multiple product types. Develop and execute seasonal category product and promotional strategies in order to achieve ideal product assortment and create premium quality consumer-centric offerings.
- Develop monthly forecasts of sales and inventory for all styles and develop strategies to meet category financial goals. Manage necessary forecasts for open to buy process.
- Communicate category buying strategies, vision and business results to cross functional and category business partners.
- Communicate frequently with Planning and Allocation to share business updates and partner on integration of planning, allocation and buying processes.
- Develop methods for analyzing performance and results of previous buying strategies and make tactical adjustments to leverage opportunities for increased profitability
- Influence the development of product and the build process, collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure that the retail stores have the right types and quantity of product available to meet their needs.
- Mentor, train, educate, and coach other buyers and serve as a knowledge resource for other team members.
