CSR SPECIALIST

As a CSR Specialist for Varner Far East you will be working to improve factory standards in the Varner supplier portfolio in China. You will work in the Varner Far East CSR team and report to Varner Far East Regional CSR Manager based in HK and Hangzhou Office Manager.

The position requires frequent travelling in China. It is estimated that 3-4 days a week will be spent travelling.

Major areas of responsibility:

• Perform factory assessments/audits and visits
• Write audit reports and visit reports within required timeframe
• Follow-up on Corrective Action Plans
• Communicate with suppliers and factories about factory requirements

• Development work with suppliers
• Support in training and project activities.

Required experience:

• Experience in conducting social audits
• Understanding of Law and Regulation on labor, health and safety, and environment in China
• Knowledge of the concept of CSR and practical experience working with social and environmental requirements at factory level
• Providing solutions to compliance implementation for the factory
• Experience in factory capacity building, CSR training and projects development, unauthorized subcontracting monitoring is an advantage
• Knowledge of textile manufacturing is an advantage
• Knowledge of HIGG is an advantage
• Minimum 5 years of solid experience in CSR field
• Bachelor’s degree or above

Language skills: Excellent skills in both written and spoken English
