DEPARTMENT: Corporate Purchasing Department
JOB TITLE/FUNCTION: Supplier Quality Engineer
REPORT: The employee will be allocated in our Pinghu office in China, but will report directly to our purchasing headquarters in Brazil.
SALARY : CAN BE NEGOTIABLE
SUMMARY: Responsible for the development of new suppliers, materials and services (raw materials, components, systems and services) in the Asian market, according to the specified on Randon’s Suppliers Guide. Supplier Quality Assurance and inspections and also interfacing with suppliers on quality related issues.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
* Approve new or changed materials within the assigned commodity by applying PPAP and APQP standards.
* Approve new materials as a result from strategic sourcing activities by applying APQP and PPAP standards.
* Approve suppliers according to our sourcing process (Randon’s Suppliers Guide).
* Participate on the definition of material specifications with Process Engineering, Product Engineering, Purchasing and suppliers.
* Establish supplier development programs at respective suppliers with the assigned commodity and follow up corrective actions and results of those programs.
* Perform supplier audits in accordance with our sourcing process and/or supplier development programs.
* Educate suppliers on Randon quality requirements.
* Support an escalation path in case of ongoing supplier quality issues, ongoing bad supplier rating and uncooperative suppliers.
* Retain and track supplier records.
* Execute regular supplier rating for respective suppliers.
* Establish continuous improvement programs with suppliers.
* Track, update and report our relevant KPIs.
* Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
* Must Have Graduation in Engineering (Mechanical or Chemical or Production).
* Languages:
* Mandarin: Native
* English: Fluent – must have
* Portuguese: desired
* Must have a minimum of 02 years of experience in Supplier Quality.
* Experience in Supplier Audits – ISO/TS and/or VDA, Run at Rate and capacity analysis.
* Strong background in automotive suppliers.
* Must be able to read and interpret engineer drawings and specifications.
* Must be computer literate, with the ability to use MS Word and Excel to create reports, spreadsheets, and presentations.
* Must have excellent communication skills and be able to effectively work with others in a team environment.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: No supervisory responsibilities at this time.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: The employee must have availability to travel to various domestic and international locations for the purpose of conducting business on behalf of Randon Companies.
