Job Purpose:

The maintenance QMI technician is expected to assist to commission & start up specified C2 plant(s). After startup, following the maintenance scope arrangement of area, execute equipment repair/maintenance tasks with fully compliance to the company HSE rules. Conduct PM activities according to the PM plan in time. Register the maintenance record in SAP system. Assist maintenance QMI engineer to propose material and spare parts requisition as required.

Job Dimensions:

1. Under the supervision of maintenance engineer, the maintenance scope of this role is responsible QMI analyzers and related systems mainly include the followings: PGC (Process Gas Chromatograph) and network; Gas Analyzers (Oxygen, Moisture, CO, CO2, Hydrocarbon, etc.); Liquid Analyzers (PH, Conductivity, DO, Chlorine, Sodium, Silica, Phosphate, Turbidity, etc.); CEMS (Continuous Emissions Monitoring System) including NOx, Sox, CO, O2, dust meter, VOC, etc.; Effluent analyzers (TOC, COD, NH4-N, Oil In Water, etc.); Other analyzers (Density, Mass Spectrometer, Viscosity, FTIR, Melt index, Titrator, etc.); Gas Detectors (Flammable and toxic, open path); Sampler.
2. Key relationship: Direct report to Maintenance QMI engineer, and key internal/external stakeholders are Disciplines Engineers, Operation team, contractor, HSE department, Lab, QTSB, EPB, and etc.

Principal Accountabilities:

A. General
1. Observe all safety, health and environmental standards in the plants and ensure all work practices are carried in accordance to the specified requirements.
2. Identify potential hazard and risk associated with the routine maintenance activities and to perform Job Hazard Analysis with supervisors, contractor and process operators prior commencement of work.
3. Have working knowledge on the procedures in the Permit-To-Work system.
4. Have a working knowledge on the use of Computerized Maintenance Management System.
5. Assist in identifying equipment, systems and component faults and participate in team problem solving and decision analysis.
B. QMI Instrument Equipment
1. Identifies/ rectifies faults in non-complex analyzer and AMADAS/ PGC’s Network system.
2. Installation and maintenance of analyzer including the sample conditioning system.
3. Skilled in the use of measuring tools such as multi-meter, voltage tester, electronic oscilloscope, etc.
4. Perform routine preventive maintenance of QMI instrument systems.
C. AMADAS Systems, HVAC safeguarding and PGC Network
1. Have working knowledge on the AMADAS.
2. Have working knowledge on the HVAC safeguarding system in order to be able to advise the HVAC contractor in doing the normal routine maintenance of the HVAC.
3. Assist QMI senior technician in maintenance and fault finding of the problem related to the AMADAS and PGC’s Network.

Qualifications:

1. Educational background: A relevant qualification from technical college and above.
2. Work experience: Minimum 3 years oil or petrochemical maintenance experience. Previous working experience in a JV environment would be an advantage.
3. Language proficiency: English level is CET4 or equivalent. Able to communicate English at working level.
4. PC skills: Working knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel & Maintenance Management System.
