Job Purpose:

This position is to deliver the internal audit plan in accordance with CSPC Internal Audit Standard, and monitor the business control environment on a continuous basis.

Job Dimensions:

Internal auditing is an independent and objective assurance and consulting activity designed to add value and improve an organization’s operations. It helps the businesses achieve their objectives by using a systematic approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes.
CSPCL Internal Audit seeks and attracts people from a wide variety of professional disciplines and functions. Audits will focus on operational, business and management processes as well as financial issues.
As part of Internal Audit, you will participate in audits of various CSPCL businesses (Manufacturing, Commercial, Accounting, Taxation, Finance, Treasury Operations, Procurement, Contracting, Corporate Services, Information Technology, Project Management, etc.). You will actively participate in improving the quality of business control frameworks.

Principal Accountabilities:

1. Provide independent assessments of the fitness for purpose and operation of the business controls frameworks for the businesses reviewed.
2. As an auditor or lead auditor, work together with other team members with different backgrounds and experience to deliver independent assessment and recommendations that add value.
3. Provide other internal audit related services, such as follow up with audit finding and business assurance activities, facilitation of risk and controls self-assessment and assurance workshops, special review and investigations, etc.
4. To be alert to emerging areas of risk and business exposure and the impact of changing environments on those businesses and to translate those where appropriate into audit requirements for the business and Business Assurance committees.
5. Facilitate assurance planning of the business area and general education of the business personnel in controls awareness and understanding of the audit process and the role of audit.
6. Facilitate the transfer of learning and good practices across the business units with respect to risks and business controls management.
7. Promote knowledge sharing among audit team members and business.

Qualifications:

1.Educational background:
?Bachelor degree or above.
?Professional qualifications in CIA or equivalent is preferred.
2.Work experience:
?Minimum of five years of professional experience. Experience in commercial marketing, finance and manufacturing is preferred.
3.Language proficiency:
?Good command of spoken and written in English.
4.PC skills:
?Proficiency in PC and standard desktop tools.
