Fabric Procurement Executive

Long established Australian company production of high-specification school uniform for the Australian private school market is seeking for a person to fill the Fabric Procurement Executive role in Huizhou. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work in a company with a strong reputation in the highly demanding production of school uniforms.

Candidate must have 10+ yrs experience in clothing/textile manufacturing/export Industry with good exposure to woven/knit fabric sourcing, and must have good knowledge of the market /vendors, good in commercials, quality issues.

Candidate must be able to communicate in a technically professional manner and have a capacity for responding to a varied workload and changing priorities to meet the specific timelines.

Key responsibilities:

· Fabric development

· Fabric procurement and follow up

· Fabric stock maintenance and allocation

· Source potential new suppliers

· Conduct in-house testing and external laboratory testing

· Management of China based supplier factories

· Price negotiation

· Ensure fabric on time delivery

· Maintain continuity of products

· Liaison and report to internal staff

Highly Regarded Skills:

· Written/spoken Mandarin, Cantonese and English

· Demonstrate success in previous role

· Ability to travel to mills
