Principal Accountabilities

To perform piping design for plant change project and provide support in engineering to other requirements.

1. Ensure compliance to HSE standards and requirements to make the plant a safe place to work in.

2. Perform detail engineering design and drafting for plant change requests in compliance with DEP requirements and China standard/code, and in-house requirements.

3. Provide piping material estimate to support cost estimate for plant change request.

4. Work with design institute/contractor, review their engineering documents for plant change, and assess their performance and influence them to achieve best possible results against agreed standards.

5. Perform the update and maintenance of 3D PDS model and as-built drawings for plant change project and in-house requirements.

6. To assist and contribute in setting up proper procedure for piping engineering development and management, and engineering quality control.

7. Provide piping engineering support to in-house customer to work out the preliminary datum and sketch for plant change request.

8. Participate in the engineering meeting and provides inputs to the customers of any new development and changes.

Personal Attributes

1. Good knowledge and understanding of petrochemicals industry construction and engineering design.

2. Good engineering design experience in piping, plot-plan, material, piping stress and process / system engineering.

3. Good experience and skills with engineering design software, such as AutoCAD, Microstation, Intergraph’s 3D PDS, etc.

4. Good Knowledge of engineering design procedures.

5. Familiar with National and International design standards and codes such as ASME, GB SH, HG etc.

6. Excellent team player and a self-starter.

7. Openness and honesty to communicate in team work.

Qualifications

1. Educational background:

- University degree in chemical/mechanical engineering.

2. Work experience:

- Minimum 6 years working experiences in piping engineering design.

- Experience in petrochemical engineering design institute or experience in a petrochemical plant.

3. Language proficiency:

- Have ability to use English as the working language.

4. PC skills:

- Proficient in PC skills.

CNOOC and Shell Petrochemicals Company (CSPC) Limited has been established as a Chinese Foreign Equity Joint Venture Company on 28 December 2000. It has built and now operates a USD4.1 billion world-scale petrochemicals complex in Daya Bay, Huizhou, Guangdong. It is one of the largest capital investments for a Sino-foreign joint venture project to date in the People’s Republic of China. In 2016 agreement was reached between the partners to expand CSPC more than doubling the production capacity with the addition of a 1.2 Million Ton/Year Ethylene per year creating an additional 4.0 Million Tons/Year of petrochemical products (C2).
The partners are Shell Nanhai B.V., a member of the Royal Dutch Shell, with a 50 per cent stake, and CNOOC Petrochemicals Investment Company Limited (CPIL), also with 50 per cent. CPIL is owned by China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) (90%) and Guangdong Guangye Investment Group Company Limited (10%).
The CSPC petrochemicals complex incorporates the world’s most advanced technologies and utilizes modern management systems and international standards in the design, construction and operation of the complex. Its adoption of 13 patents through international bidding ensures it operates on the cutting edge of technology. The majority of its process units are world-scale. Additionally CSPC applies the principles of sustainable development throughout the design, construction and operation of the complex, demonstrating its strong commitment to the community and the environment.
