Job Purpose: The Senior QA/QC Engineer is responsible for all aspects of project quality management for SMPO2&POD2 project as representative of CSPC.
Job Dimensions: This position needs to proactively involve in coordination between relevant internal and external stakeholders, e.g. SMPO2&POD2 Project Management Contractor, SMPO2&POD2 plants, and other functions as necessary.
Principal Accountabilities: 1. Contact focal point with SMPO2&POD2 Project Management Contractor (the Contractor) on project QA/QC area..
2. Align with the Contractor on QA/QC programs, inspection plan and project handover procedures, and keep tracking the implementations. Escalate the issues which would impact the project flawless start-up.
3. Monitor and review the Contractor’s Contractor’s quality management performance and provide regular report to CSPC project team.
4. Assist supervisor in building up CSPC internal quality management system and developing implementation plan.
5. Provide advice to the disciplines of CSPC project team when necessary.
6. Coordinate CSPC resources for project acceptance inspections in a systematic way, ensure that all quality issues will be addressed and tracked properly.
7. Representing CSPC to attend quality management relevant meeting organized by the Contractor.
Qualifications: 1. Educational background: College or above degree in engineering.
2. Work experience:
？ Minimum 6 years engineering experience in project management company or petrochemical plant.
？ Knowledge and understanding of QA/QC management or design and construction practices at a manufacturing plant.
？ Familiarity with operations / maintenance practices.
3. Language proficiency: Able to communicate in English and Mandarin, verbally as well as in writing. English level CET>4 or equivalent.
4. PC skills:
？ Proficient in PC skills.
？ Able to use Microsoft project.

CNOOC and Shell Petrochemicals Company (CSPC) Limited has been established as a Chinese Foreign Equity Joint Venture Company on 28 December 2000. It has built and now operates a USD4.1 billion world-scale petrochemicals complex in Daya Bay, Huizhou, Guangdong. It is one of the largest capital investments for a Sino-foreign joint venture project to date in the People’s Republic of China. In 2016 agreement was reached between the partners to expand CSPC more than doubling the production capacity with the addition of a 1.2 Million Ton/Year Ethylene per year creating an additional 4.0 Million Tons/Year of petrochemical products (C2).
The partners are Shell Nanhai B.V., a member of the Royal Dutch Shell, with a 50 per cent stake, and CNOOC Petrochemicals Investment Company Limited (CPIL), also with 50 per cent. CPIL is owned by China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) (90%) and Guangdong Guangye Investment Group Company Limited (10%).
The CSPC petrochemicals complex incorporates the world’s most advanced technologies and utilizes modern management systems and international standards in the design, construction and operation of the complex. Its adoption of 13 patents through international bidding ensures it operates on the cutting edge of technology. The majority of its process units are world-scale. Additionally CSPC applies the principles of sustainable development throughout the design, construction and operation of the complex, demonstrating its strong commitment to the community and the environment.
