Job Purpose:

Plans, coordinates, and supervise or executes cost-effective material and corrosion services to the manufacturing facilities.

Job Dimensions:

In CSPC, there are more than 1700 pcs of pressure vessels, 550 km of process piping, 6 boilers, 15 furnaces, 130 storage tanks and more than 3500 pcs of safety relief valves and about 850 corrosion loops.

Principal Accountabilities:

1. Ensure compliance to HSE standards and requirements to make the plant a safe place to work in.
2. Lead in the Risk Based Inspection studies to detect or locate potential failure due to material degradation and/or corrosion and implement timely preventive measures.
3. Develop inspection and corrosion monitoring program that could predict equipment degradation.
4. Maintain and update corrosion loop and ensure key point monitoring program compliance.
5. Lead in failure analyses in order to find out the root causes and avoid recurrence of failure.
6. Plan and provide material and corrosion supports for activities that are shutdown related, general maintenance or new projects when required.
7. Provide technical support on material selection, identification and analysis of failure mechanism and metallic testing.

Qualifications:

1. Educational background: Degree in Mechanical or Materials Engineering or related subject.
2. Work experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the oil, gas or petrochemical plants with at least 3 years in material & corrosion engineering.
3. Language proficiency: Have ability or potential to use English as the working language.
4. PC skills: Proficient in PC skills.
