Job Purpose: Leads and manages civil activities for KOH/POD2/SMPO2 project.
?Be a lead for civil structure, drainage, tank, insulation, coating, and marine facilities to provide cost-effective services and assurance in technical integrity.
?Be responsible for providing design and engineering services with supports from SGSI/engineering an d design institute to Project and procurement departments.
Job Dimensions: Key relations:
Internal: Project Team, ES Team, Maintenance Team, Operation Team
External: Civil engineering contractors, government authority, consultant etc.
Principal Accountabilities: 1.Develop and sign off Civil/Structural engineering deliverables in PDAM (Project Deliverables and Approval Matrix)
2.To serve as a TA2 in civil/structural engineering
3. Ensure project discipline engineers can satisfy TA3 level competency and qualification
3.Ensure newly Shell DEP and GB technical norms and standard are implemented properly for project.
4.Set up inspection strategy and program for foundation, civil structure and drainage.
5.Set up inspection strategy and program for structural steel and connection.
6.Set up inspection strategy and program for fireproofing, insulation and coating.
7.Plan and provide engineering and inspection supports for projects when required.
8.Carry out failure analyses in order to find out the root causes and avoid recurrence of failure.
9.Develop conceptual design and advice for project requests.
10.Review and approve civil related design and engineering documents.
11.Participate project civil engineering quality control and ensure deliver high civil engineering quality.
12.Identify, share and apply best engineering practices.
Qualifications: 1.Educational background:
?Degree in civil/structure/marine engineering or related subject.
?Knowledge and understanding of the relevant technology.
2.Work experience:
?Minimum 10 years engineering experience in integrity management.
?Familiarity with DEP, international standard and Chinese related laws and regulations.
3.Language proficiency:
?Good command of English language (spoken/written).
4.PC skills:
?Proficient in PC skills.

CNOOC and Shell Petrochemicals Company (CSPC) Limited has been established as a Chinese Foreign Equity Joint Venture Company on 28 December 2000. It has built and now operates a USD4.1 billion world-scale petrochemicals complex in Daya Bay, Huizhou, Guangdong. It is one of the largest capital investments for a Sino-foreign joint venture project to date in the People’s Republic of China. In 2016 agreement was reached between the partners to expand CSPC more than doubling the production capacity with the addition of a 1.2 Million Ton/Year Ethylene per year creating an additional 4.0 Million Tons/Year of petrochemical products (C2).
The partners are Shell Nanhai B.V., a member of the Royal Dutch Shell, with a 50 per cent stake, and CNOOC Petrochemicals Investment Company Limited (CPIL), also with 50 per cent. CPIL is owned by China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) (90%) and Guangdong Guangye Investment Group Company Limited (10%).
The CSPC petrochemicals complex incorporates the world’s most advanced technologies and utilizes modern management systems and international standards in the design, construction and operation of the complex. Its adoption of 13 patents through international bidding ensures it operates on the cutting edge of technology. The majority of its process units are world-scale. Additionally CSPC applies the principles of sustainable development throughout the design, construction and operation of the complex, demonstrating its strong commitment to the community and the environment.
