PRIMARY PURPOSE:
? Lead CSBU product and solution design in activities in the MNA design centers in China. For example: Cisco, Nokia etc…
? Lead to address and resolve all mechanical related barriers in designing in Molex connectors, cables and solutions into customers’ programs.
? Assist Marketing Manager on mechanical and/or electrical competitive analysis and customers system and applications so as to identify gaps and strengthen opportunity pipeline to achieve higher revenue/profit growth.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Lead Molex sales engineers and work closely with customers development/process/reliability engineers in resolving any component mechanical and electrical issues for design in of High Speed IOs/Backplane/BTB/ICM/Storage connectors/cables as well as other copper solutions
? Train Molex sales engineers in Copper Solutions for high speed connector applications pertaining to mechanical performance.
? Lead in communication with internal design engineers/product managers and customers in product development reviews (primarily focus on mechanical perspective and customer design interests).
? Make recommendations for improvement of interconnect systems and solutions, resolving customers potential or current issues.
? Assist Marketing Manager in providing insightful information on competition solutions reviews, customer systems and processes.
? Develop supporting documents / application notes for customers

This job supports designing in of Molex Copper Solution BU products/solutions into APS customers.
AUTHORITY:
EDUCATION:
REQUIRED: ? Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) or Bachelor of Science (Physics)
PREFERRED:? Master degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Precision)
WORK EXPERIENCE:
REQUIRED: ? Min 5 yrs work related experience in electronic industry
PREFERRED:? Experience in area of designing, qualifying and/or other supports in high speed electrical interconnects and solutions.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
REQUIRED:
? Strong ability to communication well with customers and internal stakeholders in English/Mandarin.
? Good understanding of component design-in processes and customer expectation in the electronics industries.
? Excellent team player.
? Detailed in problem analysis and solving.
? Good understanding of various connectors/cables/solutions manufacturing processes.
? Understand of statistical approach in problem solving, SPC and other quality tools
? Well verse in 2D/3D CAD design tools and good understanding of CAE tools.
? Experienced in using inspection machines and other mechanical and reliability equipment.
PREFERRED:
? Understanding of High Speed connector solution applications and processes.
? Experience in high speed telecom/datacom/servers industries.
