任职要求：

1．长期从事翻译工作（150万字以上的翻译经验），扎实的外语理解力和优秀的中文表达能力， 具有广博科学文化知识和国内领先水平的双语互译能力，能够解决翻译工作中的遇到的所有问题。
2．4-5年以上翻译经验，熟悉机械技术，汽车。
3．工作地点：苏州工业园区。
4．电脑操作熟练，会用翻译辅助 Transit，TRADOS和Across工具为佳。
5. 工作性质：全职或兼职


Your role:

As part of euroscript’s translation team in Suzhou/China, you will revise and translate documents from German into simplified Chinese. In addition you will act as a Senior or Lead Translator, supporting the selection of new internal and external translators.

Your responsibilities:

§ Translation/revision of complex technical documentation;

§ Terminology research, and other related activities (set-up of glossaries, style guides);

§ Working with translation memory tools (e.g. Trados, Transit，Across) on a daily basis;

§ Coaching junior translators and freelance professionals;

§ Evaluating test translations and deliveries from freelance translators.

Your profile:

§ At least 4 - 5 years of experience as technical translator;

§ More than 1.5 million words translated so far;

§ Specialisation in mechanical and/or automotive engineering, electronics, IT;

§ Work experience at a translation service provider is an asset;

§ In-depth understanding of complex German technical texts (e.g. operating manuals);

§ University degree or equivalent qualification in the field of translation or linguistics;

§ Or: other university degree and proven excellent command of German;

§ Perfect command of Chinese as mother tongue (written and spoken);

§ Ability to translate from English and/or French is an asset;

§ User-level IT literacy (MS Office, translation memory tools);

§ Good communication skills in English;

§ Excellent self-organisation skills and teamwork;

§ Great awareness of quality standards and care in delivering high-quality work;

§ Willingness to work under pressure in order to meet deadlines;

§ Experience in translation coordination and project management is a plus.
