Purpose:
? Manages the end to end financial and accounting operations and maintain effective internal control procedures of the Representative Office.
? Ensures compliance of accounting, reporting and budgetary control and operating expense forecasting according to aSL established principles and policies, oversees cash management activities and with good maintenance of domestic bank accounts.
? Assists the Chief Representative to ensure compliance of local laws and regulations including but not limited to financial and accounting activities.
Key Responsibilities:
? Manages the annual budget & forecast process with Performance Management Sourcing and divisional Country Managers.
? Manages all accounting, funding and budget reporting requirements of the Representative office through effective internal control of cash and expenses and ensure on time in full month-end closing for aSL and liaison office.
? Manages and develops direct report(s) to carry out the accounting functions and processes.
? Be aware of external environments, accounting regulatory changes and aSL change of financial billing / operational processes, alerts senior management of potential business impacts and proposes required solutions.
? Prepares reports for group reporting, management analysis, presentations and analysis. Leads or assists ad hoc projects and analysis for management purposes and business improvements.
? Executes adhoc projects as required by aSL to upgrades accounting systems, process flows and training documentations.
? Creates the annual Representative Office activities report to the Department of Industry and Commerce.
? Revamp LO financial accounting & reporting process as necessary and support aSL Functions on financial and accounting related projects.

? External consultants (if needed, tax consultants, accounting service consultants, banks, etc)
? Government departments (Department of Industry and Commerce, Tax Bureau)
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
? Well-versed with MS Office applications e.g. Excel and computer accounting / reporting environment. SAP is a defined advantage.
? Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
? Strong writing skills in policy or system documentation.
? Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
? Hardworking, independent, detail-minded and able to work under pressure.
? Demonstrated record as a team player.
? Able to drive results.
? Able to meet internal and external deadlines.
? Passionate in development career in accounting and reporting field.
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
? University Graduate in accounting or business related field.
? Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in accounting in a multinational corporation, and 2 years of which shall be in a supervisory position.
? Good knowledge in generally accepted accounting principles.
? Experience in accounting system upgrades or process review will be an advantage.
