ROLE DESCRIPTION: The BI & Marketing Planning Manager will manage to collect, compile and analyze meaningful and timely insights that facilitate regional strategy and decision making.  The manager will have the lead-role in driving all assigned BI projects through to completion.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
 Develop intelligence strategies, routines, processes and communications that support the BAP business growth
 Development business strategies and educated decision-making through the analysis of competitive intelligence, marketing insights and identified trends
Manage assigned projects. Determine timelines, methodology, cross-functional involvement and report-outs.
Lead specific scheduled and ad-hoc research, and determine the most efficient and accurate methods for obtaining required information.
Maintain comprehensive understanding of competitive landscape/potential emerging competitors.
Keep abreast of industry issues, trends and developments with implications to Bemis AP. 
Analyze data, draw conclusions and communicate insights, strategic threats or opportunities based on gathered market/competitive data. 
Consistently demonstrate the Bemis Core Values, support the strategy for Bemis Asia Pacific and embody the 3 E’s (Energy, Empowerment and Execution).

Strong project management skills – Manager will lead assigned projects and be responsible for the completeness and quality of work within project deadlines.

Market Knowledge - Demonstrated through thorough understanding of industry and competition, demonstrating an ability to turn data into market-relevant knowledge and insight.

  KEY DELIVERABLES
Define competitor, customer and retail targets for structural analysis; including equipment, customs activities, product launches, branding, financials, SWOT, 5-forces, retail success/failure for new launches, legal activity, M&A, and other relevant attributes.
Pull and analyze relevant reports and information to support market, industry, consumer and retail research efforts.
Manage outside firms (consultants) when competitive Intelligence projects are required.
 Identify trends and insights.
 Prepare presentations, newsletters and reports that represent BAP Marketing.
Responsible for saving relevant information and reports in identified BI toolkit (SharePoint or other) that allows easy access for the BI team and other identified functional groups.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors degree focused in Business Administration, Marketing, Statistics, Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of experience in marketing/competitive intelligence and research, or related field.
Expertise in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel and PowerPoint. SharePoint helpful).
Travel approximately 5-20%.
