Western Electrical specializes in the design and manufacture of high output lighting including HID, plasma and ceramic, digital control gear, environmental controllers, ventilation and fluid flow products for the international hydroponics market.

Western Electrical is looking to invest in its continued growth with the services of a driven professional Quality Assurance Engineer with the ability and focus to deliver a new Quality System. The role provides an excellent opportunity for a meticulous individual with a passion for implementing process improvement and procedures while using your strong negotiation skills to ensure specification compliance from suppliers.

Your keen eye for detail will ensure all product data and documentation is complete including test methods to be utilized by external auditors to promote industry best practise results and drive down potential warranty claims. As a key member of Western Electrical your extensive Quality System knowledge combined with the application of lean principles will continue driving the culture of innovation and build positive working relationships with the engineering team and external suppliers.

The successful applicant will have the proven ability to:
? Create incoming and in process QA programs and influence external vendors
? Operate the principles of continuous improvement
? Manage multiple projects, testing and auditors
? Problem solve and deliver negotiated resolutions
? Demonstrate a ‘hands on’ ability to lead, manage, develop, implement & execute QA&E solutions
? Work autonomously, flexibly and focus on delivering results within timeframes
? Understand QA in the Electronic, Electrical and Mechanical fields
? Be able to travel to business headquarters in Australia
? Fluent English skills

To be successful in this role it is essential that the candidate as a minimum has a:
? Bachelor Degree of Engineering, Technology, Science or related degree
? Formal training in Quality Systems
? 3+ years’ experience in Quality Engineer roles
? Understanding of manufacturing concepts and lean principles
