Job Description:

1.Verify the trade details and expected to handle the trade confirmation on a regular basis. Activities will primarily focus on product dealings with Foreign Exchange and Precious Metals.

2.Expected to handle gold lease transactions including credit limit check, confirmation and gold transfer in Shanghai Gold Exchange.

3.Prepare physical release instruction and ensure funds are duly received; trade details and credit conditions are properly checked

4.Handle the daily trade settlement and fund transfer with the Shanghai Gold Exchange (SGE) and China Foreign Exchange Trade System (CFETS)

5.Prepare daily G/L entries and maintain a high level of accuracy of the financial records

6.Perform daily reconciliation of inventory and account balance with SGE / CFETS and verify the margin placed with the exchanges.

7.Maintain the accuracy of client database in the system including client static data and credit limit

8.Handle the margin monitoring tasks including issue of daily reports; margin calls and ensure all the calls are met. Report any overrun to management within the deadline

9.Prepare various financial (e.g. MTB), MIS reports and local regulatory returns and ensure they are complied with the bank and local regulatory requirements.

10.Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data input, general entries and invoice

Requirement:

1.University degree with a preferred focus in Accounting, or a general focus in Banking/Finance

2.Demonstrates experience with analytical computation and is computer literate; proven working knowledge and experience with all basic accounting/operation procedures

3.Requires a minimum of three years of experience working in the banking/financial services industry, with knowledge of Foreign Exchange and Money Markets; Financial Accounting and Regulations

4.Knowledge about precious metals trading or trading in other physical commodity products is preferred

5.Ability to communicate (e.g. reading, writing, and speaking) fluently in both English, and Cantonese and/or Mandarin is essential in order to work collaboratively with Global Banking and Markets front-office marketing and trade desks, the BNS Branch, and external clients

6.Demonstrates ability to work independently and under pressure;
