We (Transcend Sourcing Ltd.) are looking for some passionate and aggressive youngster for its sourcing division. The key points are:

Position: Fabric/Accessories Merchandiser
Experience: 3-5 years
Location: Guangzhou
Education: Graduated/Post Graduate

JOB DESCRIPTION

? Source trims/accessories from suppliers / able to meet fast sample development and able to get it produce from factory in required time.
? Apply understanding of trends, customers and concepts to identify the right suppliers’ capabilities and skills
Based on the above, interpret trends in new materials & products with suitable suppliers
? Keep every stage in the development process as efficient as possible.
? Follow market trends
DEVELOP MATERIAL &; SUPPORT PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
? Identify & develop new material (including fabrics, yarn, components)/treatment/trims
? Drive the developments to ensure best options, qualities, prices and lead time
? Conduct all relevant tests on sample yardage & garment suppliers which are classified as potential orders for new qualities
? Manage the production and quality of the bulk order with supplier and HK office ensuring all aspects meet our criteria.
? Take care for sample sourcing to order placement & execution to shipping.
? Need to Q.C. check.
? Maintain documents, files & samples related to all requirements from marketing team.
? Management of suppliers, review existing vendors, identify and research new suppliers and factories;
? Evaluate and approve factory profiles to ensure efficient on time production of quality product;
? Review and evaluate market trends and development and communicate to merchants;
? Work and partner with vendors on seasonal development, production and raw material needs;
? Work with vendors on pre-production set up and problem solving;
? All production issues as needed to ensure on time deliveries;
? Manage Work in Progress and T & A reports;
? Resolve all vendor disputes - claims, RTV, fabric and trim liabilities;


Desired Candidate Profile

? Need to have at least 3-5 years experience in the textile industry.
? Have good knowledge of trims, prior experience is must.
? Knowledge of testing parameters of European & US brands.
? Ability to assess risk of products; handling issues on time.
? Willing to work under pressure
? Willing to travel to factories & suppliers
? Prior experience to handle Chinese suppliers
? Proficient in both written & spoken English & Mandarin
? Travel is required
