About Airdri Ltd
Based in Oxford, Airdri is internationally recognised as a world leader of warm air hand dryers and elevator door detection systems, which it distributes under the brand name of Formula Systems.
Sales, marketing, finance, product design, engineering, customer service and logistics are all controlled from our UK office, whilst we continually monitor both from the UK and in China the quality of our products which are manufactured at our Chinese partner's Guangzhou factory which we are a shareholder of.
We have also recently set up Airdri Guangzhou, our own office and warehouse in China which will service our current customers, work with our production partner and look at new business opportunities in the region.
Formula Systems North America, a wholly owned division of Airdri, is based in Chicago and services our elevator customers in this market as well as acting as a logistics hub for our largest US dryer customer.
The Airdri Group sell products worldwide through distributor partnerships as well as directly.
Team
The Production and R&D Technician is part of the Airdri Guangzhou team. This team is responsible for our operations in China including service centre, warehousing, supplies and distribution/logistics. The Airdri Guangzhou team also supports our Chinese commercial operations (sales and key account management), led by the Group Commercial Director based in the UK.
The Production and R&D Technician in Guangzhou will work closely with the Production and R&D Technicians in the UK.
Role Purpose
The Production and R&D Technician is responsible for a range of production duties including configuration, programming and testing of special speech units as well as other production processes, layouts, packing and dispatch etc.
Role Details
Hours: Up to Full Time
Base: Guangzhou, China
Reports to: Operations Manager, Airdri GZ
Direct reports: 0
Accountabilities
Speech Units
For allocated speech units:
1. Configure and programme the units with the required languages
2. Perform playback and functional testing
3. Labelling and packing of final speech units
4. Liaise with the Production and R&D Technicians in the UK to receive any new messages
5. Arrange the recording of new messages where agreed with the Production and R&D Technicians in the UK
Production
1. Production: To build production processes and layouts.
2. Goods In: To ensure any goods in are recorded and checked appropriately
3. Packing and quality control: To check and pack products ready for dispatch.
4. Dispatch: Loading/ products out.
R&D
For any other allocated products:
1. To build prototypes
2. To build PCB layout
3. To carry out product evaluation
4. To build test systems and undertake testing eg reliability testing

2. To build, manage and maintain strong team relationships and maximise communication across the business.
