We are seeking a university graduate with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the design of fabrication or quality assurance of high end joinery and or furniture.
Our company is a procurement specialist working with the Australian construction industry so good written and spoken English is essential for this new role.
You will be working directly with the Quality Assurance and Technical Manager
Responsibilities:
1. Provide support to the procurement team when receiving drawings and specification within tender packages issued by our clients
2. Provide local PRC knowledge of fabrication methods to assist in determining appropriate sourcing strategies
3. Make factory visits to complete audits and carry out quality assurance of live projects as required
4. Assist with the Quality Assurance Manager to select appropriate contract QA assistants
5. To manage directly any contracted QA assistants and assist in their training
6. Issue weekly and monthly reports in English to the QA manager
Selection Criteria:
1. Excellent customer service, organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
2. Excellent communication skills including written and verbal in Mandarin
3. Good level of communication skills including written and verbal English
4. Familiarity with commonly used software systems including Microsoft word and Excel
5. Willingness to undertake inter and intra province travel as required
