Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Assess, evaluate risks and apply proper pricing, underwriting and risk retention standards on new business, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations
2. Analyze agents/brokers/client’s portfolio and negotiate coverage and price terms with agents/brokers/clients
3. Serve as a resource for agents/brokers/underwriters, recommend appropriate coverage for risk submitted and assist in resolving complex problems
4. Check policies/endorsements when needed
5. Review new application/renewal requests
6. Provide technical advice to Claims regarding scope of coverage, interpretation of wordings, etc.
7. Meet with clients with producers when needed to promote Chartis added values and sell Liability product
8. Interact and negotiate with clients directly when needed

Candidate Requirements:

1. University graduated
2. Professional insurance qualifications such as ACII, ANZII, CPCU, etc. is a plus
3. 3 to 5 years of underwriting experience in any property or casualty business lines is a plus
4. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Like to deal with people. Able to handle public speaking
5. Good PC skills
6. Fluent spoken and written Chinese/Mandarin. Effective spoken and written business English
7. Commitment to becoming an insurance professional
