Product Supply Manager
Job Duties
1. Lead all supply chain and procurement initiatives in the Asia/Pacific region.
2. Manage and develop a team of engineers and merchandisers in communicating with suppliers, product development, and logistics.
3. Work with cross-functional project teams in Asia and the United States in order to ensure timely completion of project deliverables, and to meet the project and leadership expectations.
4. Travel to manufacturer locations to assess their capabilities, manage relationships, and create agreements.
5. Actively look for new opportunities to move the production of existing projects to Asia by seeking out quality manufacturers.
6. Manage relationship with all third party quality control and logistics partners.
7. Work with the Director of Global Product Supply and Director of Global Product Development and Engineering from our corporate office to implement supply chain and engineering best practices in Asia.
Requirements
1. Native Mandarin speaker, strong oral and written English skills
2. Well organized person with strong communication skills and experience leading long-term projects
3. 5+ years work experience, 3+ in sourcing or product development
4. 3+ years in a management role
5. Four-year university degree in Supply Chain Management or Engineering
6. Strong negotiation skills
7. Experience working with manufacturers in Asia, and able to resolve complex issues with suppliers in China.
8. Willing to travel
9. Able to occasionally work non-traditional hours as communication with colleagues in the United States is required.
10. Experience working at an international firm (preferred).
This position is based in our Shenzhen, China office and reports to the Manager of Operations.
