Major duties:
Developing, co-ordinating and implementing IT projects
Developing and maintaining the organization’s website, databases, and digital video/photographic/journal libraries
Managing reports/statistics for projects
Setting up and maintaining web systems
Providing end-user training and support
Providing graphic design for multi-media-related projects (websites, book publications, posters and other printed materials)
Qualifications:
A diploma or equivalent qualification in related discipline
Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience and proven track record in IT/web application development, including webpage design and database management
Strong knowledge in web-based application on top of LAMP system (Linux / Apache / MySQL / PHP). Highly experienced in programming with PHP, SQL, JavaScript, Ajax, jQuery and HTML, and networking would be an asset
Familiar with DNS and email system configurations
Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Fireworks, or other similar graphic design tools, and video-editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro) would be an advantage
Strong communication and vendor management skills
Good command of English (reading and writing) and Cantonese
Self-motivation and ability to handle multiple tasks
Candidates with more experience will be considered for the position of Senior IT Officer. Appointment will be made on a 1- or 2-year contract, renewable subject to mutual agreement and good performance. The employment contract will be issued by Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center, where the IT officer is based.
