About the Department:
- Global Banking & Markets: GBM provides tailored financial services to the large corporate and institutional clients across the globe covering a broad spectrum of Transaction Banking, M&A, Derivatives, Debt & Equity Financing, Research, etc;
- Strategic Transaction Group: Identifies, structures and executes a range of transactions for corporate, financial institutions and governments. Transactions include mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, spin-offs, split-offs, issuance of equity or debt capital

Job Duties:
- Lead and manage offshore STG - local team effectively, and support the offshore STG management on strategic and operational decision making;
- Should always thrive to grow the business, improve work scope and endeavor to create a COE;
- Responsible for regular hiring and managing the attrition;
- Responsible for employee engagement - monitor work execution;
- Analyses, building and using financial models; preparing presentation materials and participating in deal pitches & executions; conducting industry and product research;
- Carrying out financial modeling (vis relative valuation analysis, LBOs, DCFs, Merger plans), and developing and presenting appropriate pitchbooks to senior bankers;
- Manage performance management for the team;
- Responsible for overall development of individual - manage career paths of offshore teams in conjunction with onshore / Bangalore leadership;
- Guide junior bankers on projects. Develop, coach and review associates and analysts within the team;
- Understand and ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which the jobholder is involved;
- Maintain the bank's internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators;
- Present well developed, persuasive ideas including: potential marketing opportunities, strategic alternatives for clients;
- Proactive involvement in opportunities outside STG team, where appropriate viz. Equity Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets and Leverage and Acquisition Finance teams;
- Acquire in-depth understanding of client needs and the market, industry and business environment. This understanding enables the firm to design customized solutions for clients - whether it is strategic initiatives like M&A, financing or risk management solutions;
- The incumbent will be required to work extensively in an integrated team environment with global investment banking professionals on ideas, pitch books and presentations across sectors and countries;
- Focus on supporting origination and execution of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) assignments, divestitures, financial restructurings and associated financing solutions;
- The incumbent will work on a very wide variety of transactions with colleagues from across the world

Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of financial modeling;
- 7-9 years working experience with at least 3 years in managerial role;
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills; Strong accounts, finance, quantitative and business writing skills;
- Good at multitasking;
- Excellent written and spoken - Mandarin, English;
- Good interpersonal skills; Eye for detail;
- Familiar to working in Global resourcing environment
