Functions and Responsibilities

    

？ Source for qualified vendors to support the continuous growth of the product categories at Four Paws, a sub-Brand owned by Central Garden & Pet

    

？ Identify and pre-qualify potential vendors for the finished products or materials

    

？ Source for any raw materials and components on request by Head office in the USA

    

？ Maintain and manage vendor base

    

？ Maintain supplier relationship

    

？ Conduct negotiations on the top line costing, delivery agreements and payment terms

    

？ Conduct, review and ensure continuous improvement within the vendor base in the performance of cost, quality and delivery

    

？ Recommend vendor selection/placement of new products

    

？ Consolidate vendors where possible to secure best total product purchase expenses

    

？ Assist Product Development in the functions including but not limited to:

    

i. Estimate rough product cost

    

ii. Consult engineer on product design, production feasibility and/or product cost control

    

iii. Proactively address supply and cost issues

    

iv. Other Functions

    

？ Maintain database of the costing trend of finished products and raw materials

    

？ Seek for new technology in the material and labor supplies

    

    

Qualifications Requirements

    

？ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is preferred

    

？ At least 3 years sourcing experience in the consumer product industry with variety exposure of different product categories and/or manufacturing techniques

    

？ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

    

？ Excellent organization, follow-up and negotiation skills

    

？ Superb anticipation and analytic skills

    

？ Strong communication skills (written and oral) are needed to work with various contacts within & outside the organization

    

？ Ability to communicate in English and Chinese proficiently
