Role Title: Consultant Specialist
Business: Compliance IT
Introduction:
Compliance IT is one of HSBC group strategic priorities. The GLTc Compliance IT Application Service Team (i.e. Production Support Team) that support over 30 systems with business users based Globally. The team runs in the follow-the-sun support model to provide first-class application support services to our worldwide business users while maintaining work-life balance for the team members. In addition, the team adopts the ITIL framework which provides best-practice guidance for IT service management. The team is continuing expanding and looking forward to having talented Support Analyst to join our team and be part of an exciting high profile Global Standards project. Your responsibilities will include :
- Provide L1/L2 support to the production services. (e.g. Incident/problem/release management)
- Resume services, analyze and trouble-shoot all kinds of production system issues.
- Collaborate with the Development Team for incident root cause analysis, work out solution to reduce repeated failure and reduce service failure
- Participate in system releases and post-release incident management and reporting.
- Analyze and resolve issues/requests from business users.
- Communicate with business users and production support managers to report system status.
- Document support procedures and system knowledge for knowledge management in a global scale.

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications
- A university graduate with degree in computer science or a related discipline.
- Strong SQL knowledge.
- Strong Linux/Unix knowledge.Technical Skills – highly-desired
- Production support experience
- Development experience, Java preferred.
- Strong Java knowledge.Technical Skills - nice-to-have
- Elastic Search knowledge
- Spring Boot, ETCD knowledge
- GCP knowledge
- ITIL knowledge Additional Requirements
- Strong communication skills and documentation skills
- Fluent in English, good communication and writing skills for direct interaction with globally spread businesses and IT stakeholders
- Sense of urgency
