• Governance

  • Involve the implementation of enterprise-wide harmonized Master Data processes setup and daily operation.

  • Align Arkema Asia-Pacific Master Data Management with the strategic direction of the Global Data Organization

  • Ensure the implementation of Master Data/Data Governance policies and procedures within Arkema Asia-Pacific

  • Work with Internal Control, Business Unit and Support Functions Process Owners to ensure understanding and alignment of all policies and procedures related to Master Data/Data Governance

  • Implement controls and compliance metrics to mitigate risks of fraud, reduce data issues, improve data accuracy and quality and measure team performance, with respect of rules of segregation of duties

  • Document master data architecture, rules, process, values, policy and procedures

     

• Relationships

  • Lot of communication with Business Units, Support Functions, Internal Control, Plants, Sales Offices and Subsidiaries related to Customers, Vendors.

  • Communicate with the business and support functions regarding the business requirements and their involvement in the Master Data processes (quality, performance, regional exceptions, etc).

  • Work closely with Global Data Process Owners and Master Data Team Leads from other regions.

  • Manage the relationship with vendors and sub-contractors acting on master data management, in coordination with the Purchasing Department.

     

• Management

  • Manage the day to day operations of the Master Data Management team, including local correspondents in Asia-Pacific subsidiaries

  • Proactively develop the Master Data Management teams respective career development and succession planning

     

     

• Projects

  • Member of the Master Data Management team that is part of Nice and Ambition Projects.

     

  • Participate in master data conversion, migration or improvement.

     

  • Assist with system implementations, as required, focusing on gaining new efficiencies and working more effectively.

  • Manage data harmonization and consolidations to improve data quality and eliminate redundancy

  • Identify costs, benefits, risks, and alternatives in proposed system designs and process changes and their impact on master data requirements.

     

• Quality of Service

  • Ensure that all Master Data services are delivered with best quality and according to all SLAs

  • Define, Measure, Analyze and Report Data Quality Metrics (KPI’s)

  • Accountable for the efficiency and effectiveness of master data management processes, leading to the ongoing accuracy and integrity of the system data.

  • Ensure that all data are correctly translated in English and in local languages.

     

• Continuous Improvement

  • Execute key controls and make recommendations for process improvements based on assessment/test results.

  • Execute audit plans and make recommendations for process improvements based on audit results.

  • Provide tools such as workflow to facilitate speed and control to ensure data quality is maintained.

  • Identify data problems, corrective actions and resolve.

  • Seek out opportunities for continuous process improvement, to include benchmarking other companies, user groups, and software tools to improve speed & accuracy of master data processes.

• Bachelor’s degree in IT related field and at least one year equivalent work experience required

   

• Basic understanding of business operation process Procure to Pay and Order to Cash in ERP system

   

• Excellent communication and influencing skills

   

• High sense of urgency and follow-through

   

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

   

• Ability to work well independently or as part of a team

   

Fluent in English, understanding Japanese/Korean is a plus.
