Purpose of Job: 

The main purpose of this position is to provide engineering project support for New Product Development of Rawlings products.

 This position will lead new product design and execution by working with suppliers and the US office to ensure products meet the established design goals. 

Job Scope & Major Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage all development projects for products manufactured in Asia for the assigned category.

2. Closely communicate with factories and the US office to deliver projects to achieve time, quality and cost targets per NPD schedules.

3. Take full ownership to manage multiple and complex projects concurrently. Responsible for the whole process of project management and maintain complete oversight on the NPD process to ensure smooth project transfer from project development phase to production phase.

4. Responsible for ensuring all of the project requirements and objectives are correctly gathered, understood and properly translated for execution.

5. Present weekly report updates and conduct regular team meetings on project status, issues, implemented solutions as well as evaluations and assessments in an organized way.

6. Participate in scheduled update meetings with the US that may fall outside of normal working hours.

7. Establish, manage and enhance the collaborative relationship with key suppliers.

8. Monitor the status of each project including prototype, sampling, testing, tooling, cosmetics, process, pilot run, etc on a regular basis.

9. Identify new materials and manufacturing techniques for products and look for cost saving opportunities.

10. Work with spec writers to ensure specs for all new products can be completed on time. Ensure all the product specs are up to date and correct.

11. Review and sign off approval samples for supplier production and QC inspection reference.

12. Maintain signed off sample list and tooling list.

13. Responsible for ECN management and execution.

14. Coordinate and drive technical solutions for problems in mass production phase. Facilitate continuous improvement to factory and team.

15. Work with quality department to improve the product quality for each of our suppliers. Work with sourcing department to develop new suppliers.

16. Ensure smooth communication and cross-functional cooperation across all team members.

17. Other assignments as directed.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, major in Mechanical Engineering or Materials Science.

2. 3-5 years' experience with project engineering or project management. Experience with helmet testing preferred.

3. Solid background in design and manufacturing of molded, metal, and/or sewn products.

4. Experience with Solidworks, NX or similar CAD software is preferred.

5. Familiar with Microsoft Office and related computer skills.

6. Good English communication skills, both oral and written.

7. Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated experience communicating with all levels of personnel.

8. Self-motivated, independent and responsible.

9. Good team player.

10. Prior experience working with foreign company is preferred.

11. Estimate 30-50% travel, domestic and international travel required
