Role Title: Assistant Business Manager II Business: IT COO - CMB Role Purpose / Description The role will participate in business activities, supporting business manager with BAU & non-BAU activities, cyclical work pieces such as Annual Reporting and short term initiatives. This job is not client facing and does not have any portfolios. The resource to fulfill this role is expected to possess some knowledge of financial budgeting, strategic planning, communication, and people management processes in the context of the business area they are located in but are not expected to have specific product knowledge relating to the business or function in which they are located. The key tasks will include some or all of the following:
-Assisting with the execution of business initiatives and activities in support of business area aims. Change implementation projects are out of scope
-Participate and support in business planning activities which may include financial, technological and resource planning
-Contribute to senior management decision making by use of management information, performance information, analytics, forums and stakeholder feedback
-Support in forums and committees to represent view of business area
-Support the development and monitoring of internal governance activities
-Investigating and seeking remedies for discrete issues which may be adversely affecting business unit performance
-Evaluate and analyse management information relating to external service providers of their provision, monitor their performance and ensure service level agreements are honoured
-Act as the SPOC for the event and owner for the activities and local processes in the supporting department

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications
-Graduate / Post Graduate / MBA majoring in Information Technology and/or Finance
-Good communication and interpersonal skills
-Have analysis and problem solving skills
-Good written and verbal communication skills.
-Ability to understand customer requirements and concerns and ensure results meet their expectations
-Delivery-focused with ability to pay attention to detail and ensure tasks are completed on time and to the required levels of quality
-Ability to prioritize workload effectively in line with business priorities
-Willingness to own work and problems and see through to completion and to resolve issues with limited assistance
-Ability to contribute to a larger team
and a flexible approach to working hours and responsibilities.
-Experience of programme/project reporting to senior management
-Have some financial management / financial data analysis experience
-Familiarity with MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Visio
-Have both a teamwork and self-starter approach
-Ability and commitment to deliver to tight deadlines
-Creative and problem solving mentality
-Aptitude towards system/business analysis
