Role Title: Senior Software EngineerBusiness: IT Infrastructure DeliveryYour responsibilities will include: -The Network Specialist will work within the Network team and will be a subject matter expert on an infrastructure a critical component of the Network topology or services provided. -The Network Specialist is responsible for the provision and/or 2nd/3rd line design / support of services on a national or Global network technology infrastructure. This can include both the development of new functions and facilities and the on-going systems support of live systems. -This may involve working as a Lead technical specialist on projects involved in planning, research, evaluation and design of network infrastructure.

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications
? University graduate with a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline
? CCIE/CCNP and other network related certification is an advantage too.
? Good command of written and spoken English
? Knowledge of HSBC systems desirable
? Have sufficient knowledge of ITID understanding policy, processes, procedures and systems deployed.
? In depth knowledge of best practice within a support environment.
? In depth knowledge in network technologies (e.g. TCP/IP, LAN, Internet, DNS, DHCP) and network security (e.g. Firewall, Internet proxy, IDS/IPS, Remote Access, DDOS protector, Router, Switch, F5 LTM etc)
? Have excellent knowledge of the project lifecycle.
? Excellent communications and interpersonal skills, including the capacity to articulate the case for IT investments and alternatives in the language of the business.
? Ability to work under pressure.
? Find logical solutions to problems.
? Work out of hours to faciliate RTB & CTB requirements
? Ability to lead in crisis response and recovery.
? Have a thorough understanding of strategic planning, including managing change, managing processes and business cases
? 5 years or above experience in managing network services Routing & Switching ,Firewall or VPN support) in a global environment is an advantage.
? Experience in enterprise network infrastructure design, incident management, supporting daily operation of enterprise scale network services
? Hands on experience on major network products (e.g. Cisco, Check Point, VPN) is an advantage.
? Excellent interpersonal, analytic and communication skills
? Self-motivated, positive and flexible attitude with ability to work independently
? Be a Group subject matter expert on a major aspect of Network Infrastructure
? Ability to leverage relationships within ITID to drive through and deliver against sector goals and strategies
