 Role Title: Senior Software Engineer Business: Global Banking and Markets IT Role Purpose / Description Overview The requirement is for Java Application Support and Development, ideally a minimal 3+ years of hands on Java & Database development experience. The candidate will support some critical applications’ batch jobs, and provide L3 support to the users for their daily operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in structured SDLC environment for rapid application development, and will be able to face off end-users to determine requirements, and conduct analysis, design, development and implementation while complying with all relevant IT regulations and policies. -Experienced to provide L3 support to address any overnight batch jobs related issue for critical business processes
-Hands-on Java & Database Development experience and ideally a Java SME. Purpose of the Job: The requirement is for a hands-on Java & Database Developer, face off users globally, accountable for L3 support of the daily operations, and assigned technical deliveries.

-Minimum 3 years relevant
working experience in Database, Java and open source Frameworks.
-Proficient with Java and
server-side web-based development, using Java EE, Spring (Batch, Integration),
RichFaces, JSF, Hibernate, Maven...
-Proficient with database /
data driven web-based applications. Key technologies: SQL (Oracle &
Access), PL/SQL
-Knowledge and experience in
MS Access Development (VBA)
-Knowledge and experience in
some of the industry standard J2EE application servers like Tomcat, WebSphere
and WebLogic
-Windows, DOS scripting
-Development experience with
OO design and design patterns. Ability to develop in all tiers of the
application (presentation, business and database)
-Experience in Oracle/SQL
performance tuning/Optimization
-Self-driven
Ability to work
remotely with minimal supervision
-Results-oriented

-Has good communication skills
and is able to effectively work remotely
-Proficient in Reading
English
Must be able to speak either Cantonese or Mandarin.

Essential Experience
-3+ years of hands on MS
Access, Java development experience in a structured and/or rapid application development (RAD)
environment
-Experience in effectively
manage multiple issues simultaneously where each of them competing for
attention and priority
-Exposure to full project life
cycle from Environment design, application build and deployment
-Experience in collaborating
with other IT teams in the organization collectively to delivery projects
-Have exposure to compliance
requirements for various stages in SDLC processes
-Familiar with Structured and
Agile SDLC processes
