MERCHANDISER – GUANGZHOU

Job Location: NO. 2 HuaQiang Road, Tianhe District, Guangzhou, China.

MISSION:

To help the Account Manager or Sourcing Executive with day to day sourcing activities such as sourcing suppliers, negotiating with factories, signing contracts with suppliers.

GROWTH OPPORTUNITIES:

Merchandiser can progress to become a Sourcing Executive and eventually a Sourcing Manager or they can move on to sales ladder if they have strong people & language skills and become an Account Manager.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Sourcing suppliers for given products and negotiating prices with them.
• Carrying out background check on suppliers in China to ensure they are genuine & reliable (Training will be provided).
• Signing contracts with suppliers
• Making export documentation & managing logistics for export orders.
• Understanding sourcing requirements and making quotations for products.

REQUIREMENTS/COMPETENCIES:

Background/Experience:

• Minimum 1-year work experience (Sourcing experience is preferable but NOT necessary) for Merchandiser and 2 years of “sourcing experience” for Senior Merchandiser .
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Good online research skills
• Basic spoken and written English
• Technology Orientation: We are a company that relies heavily on using “technology” to get things done faster & better. Therefore, we are keen on hiring people who enjoy learning the use of new software & technology and are able to pick-up new tools quickly.
