Applied role: Network Security Engineer

Responsibilities:

1. Network and security monitoring, analysis, troubleshooting and configuration.

2. Work on tasks, incidents and projects globally observing approved change window and architectural guidelines.

3. Work with team members across multiple geographic locations and time zones to ensure thorough completion of tasks.

4. Follows process to ensure that all aspects of operability are delivered whiles ensuring that existing service levels are maintained or improved.

5. Configure and troubleshoot the network that supports connectivity to the business' applications.

6. Produce detailed implementation instructions and execute changes to complete required activities

Requirements:

1. At least 3 years of experience in relevant, middle to large, data security and networking environments.

2. Knowledge of and experience with Cisco routers, switches.

3. Knowledge of and experience with Cisco and Fortinet firewalls, including complex application layer (L7) firewall rules, OS upgrades and patching, complex NAT, IPS, high availability clusters, redundancy via routing protocols.

4. Knowledge of and experience with routing protocols, including BGP and OSPF.

5. Knowledge of and experience with networking protocols and standards including VRRP, LAG, LACP, VLANs, and port trunks.

6. Experience in network troubleshooting/fault isolation, teamwork, and multitasking.

7. Experienced with Remedy ITSM platform.

8. Excellent written and verbal interpersonal communication skills.

9. Good written and verbal English skill.

10. Demonstrated willingness to learn, teach, and share knowledge.

Education:

Degree in Engineering or Computer Science

Technical Certification:

Cisco CCNP of Routing and Switching and/or CCNP Security or other equivalent (Check Point, Juniper, Fortinet, for example) certification and verifiable experience.
