Account manager

As account manager at Orange Creatives, you will work in our Guangzhou studio in a multicultural environment.

You will manage and execute on all projects related to key accounts under your control and actively strive to acquire new business from long-term accounts fit for group portfolio. Projects can include product design, supply chain management and industry related events for clients from China and all over the world.

The account manager always works to improve service level, manage timely and within budget deliveries, maximizing positive client experience. You will work closely together with the different functional teams needed for execution on projects.

In your function, you will meet with clients, you will visit key suppliers and subcontractors, join sales meetings and network events in China, and be actively involved in the day-to-day operations of the studio.

Responsibilities:

· Overall growth and development of accounts.

· Meeting profit goals on each account.

· Maintaining a high level of performance in contact with client.

· Being sufficiently informed and personally involved, ensuring sound planning, good service and a solid client/OC relationship.

· Introduction and implementation of a project management system suitable for OC workflow.

· Following OC policies and procedures.

· Keeping director informed of the status of accounts, problems, plans and meetings, as well as involving director at key times.

· Maintains awareness and controls situations which may lead to the risk of write-offs.

· Insure that staff works in conformance with OC policies and procedures and public law.

Professional skills and competences:

· Proven project management skills

· Knowledge of the design process

· Basic knowledge of common manufacturing processes

· Be able to deliver and resolve issues in a timely manner and able to keep a timeline

· Be able to efficiently communicate in English, both written and oral.

· Affinity with, and reasonable understanding of technology

· Proactive and practical attitude

· Not afraid to face challenges, or unexpected situations: enjoy new experiences

Salary

· Basic salary: 6K -10K RMB per month salary depending on seniority + commission RMB

Commission and bonus

· Account bonus: 2.5% of total paid amount from account under supervision and with deduction of expenses. On the condition account KPI’s are met.

· Sales commission: 5% of total paid amount with deduction of expenses for sales to newly acquired accounts from personal network.

· Sales commission on referrals: 2.5% of total paid amount with deduction of expenses for sales to newly acquired accounts from a referral from a colleague or partner.

About the company

Orange Creatives is a Dutch owned product design company, based in Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong, the production province of China. Since 2007 we develop consumer products from the first concept up to manufacturing. The owner as well of most of the Dutch co-workers, are educated as Industrial designers at the Delft University of Technology, which reflects in the design process that is used. We have a nice, welcoming team in Guangzhou that consists of 20 people, both Dutch and Chinese, and we have an office in Shanghai and the Netherlands.
