Position Description:

In this role you will be reporting to a foreign manager based in Guangzhou. Currently, the location is flexible and will involve a significant amount of working from home, but the company plans to move into a permanent office near central Guangzhou around mid-2019.

As Order Coordinator for Sevco, you will be responsible for ensuring our client’s orders are handled smoothly from beginning to end. This will involve updating our computer-based order management system constantly to ensure the data within the system is accurate and trustworthy for our team. To achieve this, you will need to communicate well with Sevco Management and Sevco’s Project Managers and occasionally Sevco’s international clients. You will also be responsible for all shipping & logistics activities, including contacting forwarders and agents for quotes and subsequently arranging shipments and related shipping documentation to ensure our product is delivered safely and quickly. For this reason, the position suits someone with previous experience in international logistics.

We are looking for Chinese staff who have very high level English ability on business topics, as clear communication will be the central skillset you possess to achieve your goals. You will also need to be a very organised person who is able to effectively manage and prioritise multiple tasks at any one time, given the number of orders Sevco is fulfilling. Responsibilities:

• Ensure Sevco’s order management computer data systems are always up to date with all order information
• Work together with Sevco’s Project Manager’s to assist them with any documentation requirements and also obtain required updates from them to incorporate into the order management system and weekly reports
• Obtain shipping quotes from shipping agents/forwarders to identify the best shipping options for Sevco and our clients
• Generate key weekly reports for Sevco management and our clients, such as open order reports and weekly order delay reports
• Ensure packaging and labelling for our shipments is fully compliant with Sevco and Client requirements before products are shipped – this will be in coordination with Sevco’s QA Technician

Candidate Requirements:

• Favour those with experience working in trading and especially in organising shipments of various kinds (Air, Ocean, Train)
• Fluent in Mandarin
• Cantonese language ability preferred but not required
• High level English language level – able to communicate confidently and clearly on technical and business topics with foreign management
• Strong work ethic and ability to self-motivate
• Ability to think critically and independently
• Loyal to the company
