This year, Sevco will continue to expand its presence in Guangdong province, with long term plans to branch out into other key manufacturing hubs within mainland China.

Position Description:

In this role you will be reporting to a foreign manager based in Guangzhou. As a QA Technician for Sevco, you will be responsible for working with the Chinese supplier side of the business, overseeing all quality and product-related issues. Most days you will be located at our main partner facility in Liwan District, Guangzhou. Some days you will be required to travel to other factories in Guangzhou, including occasionally elsewhere in China to complete product quality inspections.

As QA Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring all of Sevco’s products comply to our international clients’ strict quality requirements. This will require you to know all of Sevco’s products deeply and the related manufacturing/processing technologies.

We are looking for Chinese staff who have high level English ability on a range of technical and business topics. While most of your day-to-day working language will be Chinese with suppliers and most other Sevco office staff, conversations and emails with management as well as company meetings need to be conducted in English.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct quality inspections of products for conformance to client requirements
• Identify quality/production issues and work with suppliers to find solutions
• Advise Project Managers and Sevco Management with regards to likely quality issues for new product lines based on your experience with similar products
• Prepare and implement QA inspection plans for all Sevco products
• Ensure packaging and labelling is fully compliant with Sevco requirements before products are shipped – this will be in coordination with Sevco’s Logistics Coordinator

Candidate Requirements:

• Favour those with Bachelor Degree education but those with solid working experience also encouraged to apply
• In field of Engineering, Science or Business
• Favour applicants with significant manufacturing quality experience
• Favour applicants with previous post-graduation work experience, but encourage those interested without such working experience to also apply
• Fluent in Mandarin
• Cantonese language ability preferred but not required
• High level English language level – able to communicate confidently and clearly on technical and business topics with foreign management
• Strong work ethic and ability to self-motivate
• Ability to think critically and independently
• Loyal to the company
